Yellowstone Vacation

Where do I start? We had such a fun vacation! The first day we stayed in Jackson Hole. We went to the Bar J and went white water rafting down the snake river--SO much fun! Then we spent the rest of our time in Yellowstone. We went horseback riding,hiking, and saw so many beautiful things. I will get to the wildlife in a minute, but the scenery with all of the lakes, rivers, waterfalls, geysers, and forests were just to die for! It was just breath taking. All of the wild flowers really added to the beauty! The wildlife really made the trip! Here is a list of the animals that we saw while we were there: Chipmunks, Squirrels, Yellow Bellied Marmots, Ravens, various hawks, Osprey, Bald Eagle, various waterfowl, Cranes, Frog, Rabbit, Weasel, Deer, Elk (Male, Female, & Baby), Moose, Bison (Male, Female, & Baby), Coyote (6 to be exact) Black Bear, Brown Bear, AND Grizzly Bear!!! Yes, I know--that's amazing isn't it! I HIGHLY recommend a trip to Yellowstone. Here are some pictures from our trip..

My ipod

I finally got an ipod!! I know, I know I am way behind the times (I still don't text)!! I would love to know who all has one and what you think about them! I have been shopping around the past few months, watching for the best deals and the features that I have wanted. This is the one that I got, an 8GB Pink Ipod Nano! I love listening to music and I can't wait to have it with me everywhere I go. It will be nice to have for work, working out, and to have in the car so you don't have to lug around a bunch of CDs. It will be a lot of fun to have on our trip to Yellowstone next week as well!!

Record Player

I got a new record player for Christmas and I finally have it all set up. Yes, that's right....I said record player. Years ago my mom was getting rid of her records and I asked her if I could have them. I love having them and think they are the coolest things ever. Pretty soon, kids will have never even seen a record. I remember my mom teaching us how to dance in the living room to "Warpaint" by the Brook Brothers. I am always on the look out for great records at thrift stores or yard sales--so let me know if you see any good ones! I am actually looking for this record if you ever see it!! (Also keep your eyes open for the Temptations, the Supremes, great 80's music and any Michael Jackson!)

4th of July

WE DID IT! Nic and I ran the Centerville 5k Freedom Run this morning. It has been a goal of ours and we decided to go for it this year! My goal was to finish in under an hour and not come in last--and I accomplished it! Nic was so kind to stay with me-he could have won if it weren't for me! After the race, we had so much fun for the rest of the day. We went to the traditional Magna Parade, to Nic's Grandma's Birthday party, and then to watch the fireworks at Lagoon. I love the 4th of July and found myself feeling so grateful for everything that we are blessed with!

From Surf Boards To Saddles....
Our dear friends Brett & Brad from San Diego stopped by to visit us while they were in town this week. We talked them into going to a Horse Show with us. They were great sports and we had a great time. Here are some pictures along with some videos that are sure to entertain you!
