Happy Birthday Mom (2)!

I just wanted to wish my mother-in-law a very Happy Birthday! And Happy Birthday this Wednesday to my father-in-law!! They are the best in-laws a girl could ask for! I really love them!

Come get your eyebrows done for free!

I am serious! Come over to my house and I will wax your eyebrows for free! I have always been convinced that I could do my eyebrows myself, but I had never learned how or never wanted to invest in the supplies. Well I got some money for my Birthday and bought a pro starter kit and and an instruction book. I used my sisters as my guinea pigs. Here are some before and after shots (oh yeah, I serve treats when you come too!)

Busy as a Bee!

Well, this is one of those weeks that has made my head spin! Sorry for the week long absense from the blogging world!

This Wednesday-Friday was Matt's State Wrestling Tournament. He did in fact win his 3rd State Title (with a brokem hand)!! We are so proud of him! He was also awarded the 4A Upper Weight Outstanding Wrestler!!

To report on a great work week, I was able to give a presentation to the CEO of my company! It was an amazing (and extremely scary) experience! I was so honored that my boss gave me that opportunity. It went really well, and I am glad that it is over!
The Valentines Dance...went great!! I have to publically thank my mother-in-law & our friends the Heywoods for making it a huge success! We had a great turn out, a great service committee to help us serve the food, and a great ballroom dance instructor! Thanks to everyone who helped out! I am glad that it went well!
I am looking forward to the long weekend! Nic and I both took off Tuesday as well so it will be nice to have some down time after such a hectic week!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANIEL!

I just wanted to wish my brother-in-law a very Happy 19th Birthday! We love you Daniel!

Law School Update

Well, Nic got a phone call from the Dean of the University of Utah Law School on Thursday. Obviously he was accepted..that means that we are only waiting to hear from BYU. As I mentioned earlier, we are going to go visit Iowa next month. We appreciate everyone's prayers and support as we try to make this hard decision! We will keep you posted!!

Help me decide!

As most of you know, the Valentines Dance that Nic and I are in charge of is this Saturday. The dress is semi-formal, but we have to cook the food so I thought I would scale down and get a nice church dress. I had set aside about $150 for a new dress & jewelry, however I went to good old Ross (let me put a little plug in for that store!!!) and found 3 dresses that I liked and couldn't decide between them--SO I bought them all. Grand total $40! I love it! Anyway, Sisters & Friends, I would like your vote of which one you like the best. Sorry the pictures aren't great (I felt like I was taking pics for ebay :)

Saturday Project Night

On Saturday night, Nic and I decided to do some projects for date night. Nic chose to do a model airplane and I have always wanted to make a bird feeder. We went to Michaels and bought our supplies (only$30 for everything for both projects)! Nic's is a much bigger project then mine so his will be an ongoing project, but my bird feeder is complete! Here are some pics...

Change

Wow, how fast things change! The new first presidency of the church was announced today. I feel sadness for the world's loss of Presidency Hinckley, yet happy for him because he gets to return to his sweet wife in heaven. I am so grateful for the truth that our religion teaches that families can be together forever. I know that brings me such great comfort in my own life.

I felt the spirit witness that President Monson is in fact a called prophet of God. I like his quiet way of speaking. He seems so kind and loving. I was surprised to hear that President Dieter F. Uchtdorf was called as the second counselor because he only served in the Quorum of the 12 Apostles for 3 1/2 years. I really enjoy hearing him speak and I am excited about his new call. President Eyring is my favorite, and I think most of you know that I was able to have dinner with him (well a table or 2 away) and was able to shake his hand back in December. I will never forget that neat experience. I have a love for the new presidency and they will have my prayers as they move forward in leading our church and the world.

Niece & Nephew Friday

We had the opportunity to babysit our cute niece and nephews. We had fun playing Hungry Hungry Hippos, coloring (I was informed by the boys that I only had "baby" coloring books!), eating pizza and watching Chronicals of Narnia. Here are some pics of our fun night...
