Happy Birthday Ashley

This is Nic's first post, so cut me some slack.

February 19th is Ashley's birthday! I wanted to wish her a happy birthday. I love her so much, she is my best friend. I couldn't have found a better wife. I hope that she knows how much I love her. She is beautiful, kind, generous, and smart. I am the luckiest man on earth.

It's a...

GIRL! We are so excited! We have always talked about Samantha being our first child, so it just seems so fitting and perfect. I have thought all along that it was a girl, and so I don't feel surprised--but I do feel happy and excited! Everyone has been asking how Nic is taking the news, don't worry, he is happy too! He will hopefully get his boy the next time around.

Ok, now for your help on registering! For all you experienced mommies, I would love to hear your recommendations of things to register for or things that you recommend buying in advance. I have started my registry at Amazon because I really like their selection & prices better. Feel free to check it out and give me your feedback: www.amazon.com/gp/registry/baby/3ISN9Z2IK52A8

Happy Valentine's Day

Nic planned the best Valentines weekend for us. We are really trying to enjoy our last few months as just the two of us. Everything he planned was a surprise and it has been so much fun. We are staying at the Little America and it is so beautiful. This is the room we are in...
We had a wonderful dinner at the Steakhouse here. Nic and I think that it's the best steak and shrimp we have ever had!We had fun swimming at the outdoor heated pool, it was fun to look at the starts outside.
I hope you all had a fun Valentine's Day! I would love to hear what fun things you did!

Nic, thank you for such an amazing, perfect, romantic weekend. I love you so much and I am so grateful that you are my Valentine.

Babies, Babies, Babies!

Sorry my last few posts have been all about babies...but get ready for another. My oldest sister had her 5th child last Wednesday. She is such a beautiful baby. Jen had to have a c-section, so she is working on recovering but is doing well.
My youngest sister had her baby shower last week. She got so many wonderful gifts and it was so fun seeing all of the adorable girl clothes she got.
Last update, we are down to 2 weeks until our next ultrasound. I am ready to burst while we wait to find out!! My guess is still a girl, but we will see. THINK PINK!!

I am digging into a bunch of material on Labor & Delivery. Since many of you reading this blog have been through this, I am looking for your advice. Do you recommend any books that helped you make your decision on what kind of birth to have? What do you recommend including in your birth plans? What was your experience in birthing your baby (or babies).
