Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

This year is the first Christmas that I have not...made neighbor gifts, gotten family pictures taken, sent out Christmas cards, watched my Christmas movies...the list goes on and on. HOWEVER it was the best Christmas we have ever had!

2012 Christmas Newsletter

Nic got a job in Utah! How blessed we are that he has been able to find the perfect job and that we get to move back home. I have always wanted to live out of state. Nic and I have had a couple of neat opportunities to do so over the last few years. We are now ready to put down roots in this great state. We are so excited to start looking for our first house!

Nic turned the big #30 this year. He had a great year working for the Nevada Supreme Court as a Staff Attorney. He is so excited to now officially be a Prosecutor for Salt Lake City. I am so glad that he was able to get his dream job so early in his career. We feel so blessed by our Father in Heaven for giving us the job.

Samantha turned 3 years old in June. She thoroughly enjoyed her dance/preschool class in Nevada. It was as 2 hour combo class of gymnastics, crafts, story time, and dance. It was her favorite day of the week. Sam continues to make us laugh and melt our hearts everyday. She is a wonderful big sister, we couldn't have asked for a better oldest child.

Brooklyn was welcomed into our family in May of this year (Birth Story here ). We are gradually adjusting to being a family of 4. Brooklyn is a beautiful baby who loves: her big sister, eating (that could be why she is in 12 month clothes when she is 7 months!), and being held by her momma. She is so attached to me, which is hard at times, but I do love that she loves and needs me.

I enjoyed my last year of my twenties (sniff, sniff). I spent half of this year pregnant and half of this year with a new baby. We moved from a house in Nevada, to an apartment in Nevada, to an apartment in Utah all within the last 6 months. It has been a crazy year to say the least.

It has been our year of Faith. We have learned and grown so much. Our experiences have been invaluable. We know that everything we have been given is because of our Heavenly Father. We are so grateful for his Son Jesus Christ who gave his life for us. We are so grateful for this time of year when we can remember him and reflect on our many blessings.

We are looking forward to an exciting 2013! Happy New Year everyone!

Last Day of Dance

Sam loved her dance/tumbling/preschool. She had amazing teachers and she will miss them very much.

Drive Thru Living Nativity

A local church put on a "Drive Thru Living Nativity", we had no idea what that was but of course you have to check out something like that.

I have to say that it was so neat. A wonderful way to celebrate the real meaning of Christmas. The living nativity was complete with Ceasar Augustus, singing angels, and real sheep and donkeys. So neat.

God knows us and loves us!

Nic and I have had a rough year. Lately I have been feeling my prayers are not heard and I have  wondered about God's love for me. I prayed last night for a manifestation from Him to know that my prayers are heard.

God often shows me his love through nature.

We were on our way to the temple when we saw not one, but 2 beautiful rainbows. It wasn't raining. I knew this was my sign. As I got out my phone to take a picture a bald eagle appeared on the side of the road. A bald eagle...in Nevada. And if you know me, you know how important bald eagles are to me.

So, thank you Heavenly Father. This wasn't a coincidence. You heard my prayer and because you love me, you showed me.
