Growing up our family loved going to Winder Dairy for scones at Christmastime. It is one of our traditions that Nic and I would like to keep for our family. This year we had some of our siblings come along with us and it was so much fun. Afterwards we like looking at the lights around town.
...along with no heat! So what better to do than bake! Sam is really getting in to pretending to bake and cook. She loves helping me do any chore or project, so I thought I would let her help me bake. It was so much fun. She seemed to really enjoy it. I didn't think I would be able to do these fun things with her until she was older, so it was a lot of fun for me too. I LOVE having a girl!
Sam eating the chocolate chips :)
Don't mind my filthy kitchen and our lovely morning hair
She was such a good helper, she loved doing exactly what I was doing
I really can't believe that she has hit this milestone. I feel like all of a sudden she is no longer a baby, but a little girl. I will be honest, it makes me emotional! She is just growing so fast. She had her 18 month check up today and she is doing great! She weighs 24 lbs (46%) and she is 32 inches (61%). I couldn't believe it when they put her on the adult scale to weigh her, she just seemed so little standing there. I love her to pieces and I am so grateful for the chance I have to raise her.
First day in church nursery, yes I cried when we took her in. How could she be old enough to be in there on her own?
I just finished reading this book. It really helped me to get into the Christmas spirit and think about Christ's birth. I just wanted to post a quote from it that I loved:
"The greatest gift you could give to the Lord at Christmas, or at any other time, is to keep yourself unspotted from the world, and His gift to you will be the peace of knowing that you are prepared to meet Him, whenever that time shall come"
